Determining Crate Sizes

Crates with measurements no longer than 12 inches are considered giftware crates.

Crates consists of three measurements:

Height - how tall the crate is seated, from the bottom
Length - how long the crate is down the sides
Width - distance between the sides/ends (solid)

The "footprint" is the measurement we use to group our giftware sizes. This is what we consider the area of the crate. The next measurement by which we divide our crates is the height -

Crates, height of 1 1/2 inches - singles (one slat attached to side of ends)
Crates, height of 3 1/4 inches - double (two slats with a small gap between top and base side slat)
Crates, height of 5 inches - triple {three slats with two small gaps between side slats)

To make choosing easier, first determine the area or footprint of what you need to contain in the crate.

We have added some common product suggestions for an idea of their volume capacity. Once you decide on the size, determine how high you would like the sides of the crate to come up in order to enclose the contents. If you need depth choose a double or triple height if they are available in that size.

ALL MEASUREMENTS GIVEN ARE INTERIOR

Looking at the crate it will appear bigger. Interior measurements are the most important since that determines the area you have for your products.
