Something you don’t think about when you work for an employer is that for the most part – typically, weekends are breaks in the work cycle. Weekends are always workdays for me – except for this weekend. This weekend nobody around here was, is or will be working! Most of the Mid-Atlantic region came to a stand still, as Mother Nature dealt us a blow of pretty big proportion. For those of you in the Northwestern or Northern most states, 30 inches of snow seems a pretty lame excuse for precipitaton, but here – so close to the Eastern Seaboard 30 inches of snow is crippling! EVERYONE comes to a stop, closes down, goes home – after of course depleating the Grub Kitty of any and all food that can be nuked and/or cooked in a Fry Daddy. Add to that the impending “BIG” game and you have all the makings of a ”DO NOTHING - GO NO WHERE WEEKEND”. So… I have settled into this weekend’s prerequisite vegitative state of couch potato status and managed to only shoot a couple of longing looks at my poor, lonley (Francis) shop almost buried in all that white stuff.

Obviously my goal of January 4th for re-opening the online store was a bit lofty!

But…I opened the online store today, and while it’s not completely updated – it’s a beginning. I had no idea how much work there was!

For those in the local area I did a January Edition (this is a monthly special, only available during the current month). An 8 oz tin SoyBee candle, regular $8.00 – for $6.00. The fragrance is one our newest fragrances “Pampered”.

Needed to perk up this winter weather mood with a new fragrance that conjures up thoughts of Spring!

Goodbye 2009!

We have some new pictures taken for the online shop and the list of new fragrances is being created, then they will have to be entered in the shop. Seems everything takes a long time – especially before/during and after the holidays.

I had this wild idea of renaming the fragrances to be more inline with our “theme”, “mantra”, “groove” or whatever you want to call it. Plus I thought it would be kinda cute to have one word fragrance names, which the rest of the company (family) thought was silly. So it came to me…name the fragrances for a sense or sensibility, translated for those of us that care…a character trait, personality attribute if you will! How unique right? And I am all over uniqueness. So brush up on your adjectives, I might need some help!

We are still looking to reopen the shop on January 4th. Until then, thank you for the New Year orders being called in. You know I love talking to ya’ll in person anyway!
