Large Projects
One of my favorite tasks as a candle maker is making new and different candles and working with new fragrances. I do a great deal of testing so that part can be boring, but when you find exactly what you are looking for and your customer is excited over their purchases, it’s worth all the time.
Today I wrapped up another custom order. Since 2007 I have had the pleasure of creating the offical “Apple Blossom Festival” candle. The Apple Blossom Festival is a huge event in this town. It is a big time with many fun and entertaining activties, steeped in a great deal of tradition. If you are ever nearby, I highly suggest you consider taking in some or all of “The Bloom” as it is affectionately called here.
While the labels will arrive tomorrow, along hopefully with the tops – I thought I would take a snap shot of how much room in a workshop large projects take up. This is one of four pouring counters that is covered. I am counting the hours until I regain control over my space.
Tomorrow I will take a picture of the finished product and show you the previous year’s images, so you can take in the whole “effect”.
